ORIGEN DE LOS PARTIDOS POLITICOS
Concepto
La denominación de Partido Político deriva del latín pars que significa parte o fracción; y del griego polis que significaciudad-estado, es decir que en base a sus raíces, partido político significa una fracción de la ciudad, una parte del Estado. No obstante, tal significado etimológico ha ido evolucionando hasta adquirir su significado actual.

Al llegar a la acepción de partido en la actualidad, un partido político es un conjunto de ciudadanos cuyo fin inmediato es el acceso al poder público (poder del estado) y elejercicio del mismo para establecer y defender un orden público que responda a las convicciones de los agrupados en dichos partidos políticos.
Los partidos políticos constituyen instrumentos de integración del gobierno y proporcionan a los individuos que ocupan y desempeñan los puestos de dirección y de mando de acuerdo a su ideología.
