■ Peru is a country located in South America that holds every landscape, colors and sounds. These are represented in a big territory that has a diversity of climates in its three naturals regions: The Coast, which is in economic development; The Highland, withimposing mountains which form The Mountain Range of The Andes and the exuberant Amazon jungle. ■ Peru is one of the twentieth largest countries in the world with a population of over 28 million inhabitants and thousands of investment opportunities for developing business in many sectors. ■ Its capital, the city of Lima, has a population of some 7 million 665 thousands inhabitants, being the mostmodern city of the country, with avid public and ready for consumption. Nowadays, the construction of new shopping centers and the consolidation of an emergent sector as retail in all the country is a boom.

INVEST IN PERU
■ The international monetary found (FMI) estimates that Peru would be one of the fifth countries that will grow around 5% this year, along China, India, Egypt and Qatar. In2008, Peru’s GDP grew 8.9%, one of the largest growth rate in all the world.

INVESTMENT GRADE
■ In 2008, the credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s granted Peru the investment grade status. Moreover, Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services raised its foreign currency long-term credit rating on the Republic of Peru to ‘BBB-’ from ‘BB+’. This is in addition to granted the same year by Fitch Ratings andDominion Bond Rating Service. ■ This is a result of a sustained economic growth, the reduction of the degree of dollarization, the improvement of the accounts tax, the reduction of the debt burden and the accumulation of reserves as a result of the greatest trade surplus.

■ Peruvian growth, a result of the good economic management and political stability, is based in the domestic demand related to recovery of incomes, employment growth and the exchange rate stability. This allows to Peru to be one of the countries with the lowestinflation and project a GDP per capita that will overcome the $ 6000 by 2011.

■ The Association of shopping centers and entertainment in Peru is an organization which representsthis emergent industry to investors, customers, operators and authorities. ■ Its purpose is to foment the investment of Peruvian and foreign operators and the development of the industry representing, fomenting and standing up for their members from public and private organizations. ■ The ACCEP looks for a good context with legal frameworks and assist its members in their business development throughthe diffusion and distribution of relevant information, professional education, conferences, conventions, publications and research. It takes care for the development of the tenants and/or suppliers and for the safety and comfort of its visitors. ■ These organizations, created in June 2001, join the most important shopping centers of the country, which shows sales over $ 2, 000 millions.
