WHAT IS BREAST CANCER?

Breast cancer is an abnormal growth and disorderly cells of this tissue.

The symptoms are pain andswelling occur

_malignancies, there are several types depending on the location of the breast where abnormal growth occurs the cells and by stage.

HOW MANY WOMEN SUFFER FROM THIS DISEASE?

InSpain are diagnosed each year 15,000 new cases are handled and currently figures indicating that one will have a 16-18 Spanish breast cancer.

In the age group of 45-55 years, breast cancer is theleading cause of cancer death in women in our country, ahead of lung cancer.

BREAST CANCER IN MEN

Breast cancer also affects men but in a much smaller percentage (1%) compared to the femalepopulation suffers.

Symptoms are similar to those presented by women, and prognosis and treatment is the same as them

Other signsthat may occur:

- Pain or nipple retraction.
- Irritation of the skin or cracks.
- Inflammation of a portion of the breast.
- Redness or scaling of the skin or nipple.
- Nipple discharge otherthan breast milk.

TREATMENT

surgery is enough to stop the cancer and chemotherapy is not required. However, there are few cases that do not require an adjunct to surgery with either chemotherapy...
