English II is a subject studied on the second semester of all the specialties of the High School and it is a continuation of English I and the previous subject needed for English III. The curse will be developed through 9 sequences taught three hours perweek, during the whole semester.
The content is divides into 3 units with three different topics contained into them. There will be a partial exam at the end of each unit and there will be a continuum assessment of the students during the classes. Besides, students will have to makesome products that will be considered as an evidence of their learning.
The activities presented in the sequences promote communication, interaction and significant learning among students. Students are considered as the main participants of the learning process and they will be guideby a facilitator to achieve the subject’s purpose and the learning objective. Therefore, the facilitator functions are mainly to motivate, promote interaction and communication, give instructions, and monitoring the students work.
Students will work individual and in teams. Theywill also use selfstudy as an aim to increase and better their knowledge, skills and competences.
The bibliography of the sequence includes many different books. That’s why students will work mainly with photocopies of these books, as well as some of the material the teacher willprovide them during the curse.
