The Ocupational Safety and Health Act is federal legislation designed to reduce hazards in the workplace, thereby reducing accidents and injuries; the Act and regulationspromulgated under the Act cover a broad range of safety matters, requiring careful compliance by the employer. Its regulations help employers and workers establish and maintain a safe, healthy workenvironment. Among OSHA’s is regulation is the mandate that all places of employment must have an adequate and easily accesible first aid kit on the premises. OSHA concentrates its efforts on providing serviceswhere the risk to worker safety is greatest.
