Past Perfect Tense: había + participio
Este tiempo se forma con dos componentes: el verbo auxiliar haber (en pasado), y la forma de participio pasado del verbo.
+: I had finished my exercise when my friends called me.
-: I hadn’t finished ...
?: Had I finished ...?

My father had bought some bread before we met him.

Con un verbo regular el participio pasado termina en-ed(al igual que el pasado simple).Los verbos irregulares tienen una forma especial (3ª forma) para el participio pasado que tienes que aprender de memoria

The train had already left WinuE2011-05-17T09:08:00había salido ya
when we arrived at the station
The train hadn’t left yet WinuE2011-05-18T12:00:00no había salido todavía/aún
when we arrived at the station.
The train had just leftWinuE2011-05-17T08:57:00acababa de salir

Conditional sentences type III
1. En primer lugar, hay 3 tipos de oraciones condicionales:

- Type 1: If the weather is good tomorrow, we will WinuE2011-05-19T11:54:00we’ll
go for a picnic in the country.
- Type 2: If the weather was WinuE2011-05-19T11:56:00el past somple se traduce por imperfecto de subjuntivo: sihiciera/hiciese
(were) good tomorrow, we’d (would) go for a picnic in the country.
- Type 3: If the weather had been good yesterday, we would have gone for a picnic in the country. (condicional perfecto: would + have + participio)

Los tipos de frases condicionales 1 y 2 son posibles de cumplir: la 1ª condicional es posible y su condición es muy probable que se cumplan:
She will do theshopping with us if she is early at home. (type 1) (to be early= llegar temprano)
If you hit me, I will call the Police. (type 1)

la condicional segunda es hipotética. Es posible, pero su condición es muy improbable que se cumplan:

I would help WinuE2011-05-19T12:06:00ayudaría
her with her homework if she finished WinuE2011-05-19T12:06:00terminara/terminase (imperfecto de subjuntivo)
hermeal soon. (type 2)
If he studied hard, he would pass all his exams easily. (type 2)

Sin embargo, las oraciones condicionales de tipo 3 son imposibles. Su condición no puede cumplirse porque se refiere al pasado. Se utiliza para expresar un resultado hipotético de una situación pasada:

He would have arrived in time if he had left his house earlier.
If they had come to Chicago, theywould have seen the Michigan Lake.
2. Una oración condicional está compuesta de dos partes: una oración principal y la oración de 'si'. La oración de "si" es la condición y la oración principal es su consecuencia en el caso de que la condición se cumpla.
3. Ten en cuenta que las oraciones condicionales del tercer tipo se utilizan para hablar de situaciones irreales en el pasado, es decir, cosasque no ocurrieron en el pasado.Echa un vistazo a estas frases condicionales tdel tercer ipo:
If you had studied more, you would have passed.
If you had asked your teacher for help, he would have helped you.
If it had not started to rain, we would have gone to visit the exhibition.
 
MUY IMPORTANTE: Puedes cambiar el orden de las frases, pero entonces, tienes que cambiar el orden delos tiempos verbales también:

She would have come to the party if you had invited her
= If you had invited her, she would have come to the party. 
 
NUNCA: She had come to the party if you would have invited her.

4. Recuerda que las oraciones condicionales de 1º y 2º tipo son posibles de cumplir: en la 1ª las condiciones son posibles y muy probables que se cumplan:
