Executive Summary
Nickelodeon is a channel for kids under 11years of age; it started working in America from year 1979. Today it is the highest rated kid’s cable network. It is working in more than 30 countries
Nickelodeon Latin America was initiated in an idea in the year 1995 and was launched onair in December 1996. None of this would have happened if Taran Swan hadn’t recognized the potential in the Latin American market.
Right now the company has 6 employees working on the managerial level under Taran Swan for Nickelodeon Latin America in Miami. The company’s culture is quite well maintained. They have transparency between each department, they all are motivated, have been trained byTaran in a way that their creativity is put to maximum usage. She has worked hard on getting each person for the position on the basis of their talents.
It was recorded that they tripled their subscriptions rate from 2 million (during launch) to reach 6.3 million homes in March 1998. When everything was going great, Taran faced a challenge; she was asked to stay home for bed rest due tocomplications in her pregnancy. Just having been started Taran is unsure about what to do? The consequences the company will face if someone else takes her place.
So here, through this assignment we first understand the market, Taran’s working style then we discuss what the problems she was facing are, what can be done, and what should be done. We are going to focus on Taran Swan only for betterunderstanding of the situation.


Analysis of the Case
The case has been laid out from all the different views, so it was quite easy to understand how Taran worked, how the people worked with her and what was the culture that was developed by Taran in Nickelodeon. We will start by first by knowing about the company and then move do analysing people in the company before going to the market
