lAlice’s Adventures in Wonderland: A Brief Research Paper
In this essay Alice Liddell plays a very important role in the book Alice’s Adventures inWonderland. Lewis Carroll is the author of the magnificent book called Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. His biography and Alice’s biography would be the main point in this essay.
Lewis Carroll was born inJanuary 27, 1832 in Daresbury, Cheshire, England. His actual name is Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. He is the eldest son of eleven children. He enrolls in the Richmond School, Yorkshire; his father makeshim an excellent student in mathematics and Latin. In 1850 he enrolls at Christ Church Collage of Oxford University. He graduated with honors, he invented the nom de plume “Lewis Carrol” he publishesbooks of literature term with the name of Lewis Carroll and mathematics books with the name of Charles Dodgson. One of Lewis Carroll famous quote is the following “Always speak the truth, think beforeyou speak, and write it down afterwards.” (http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/l/lewis_carroll.html) meaning that is better to speak the truth then to lie. Lewis Carroll died of pneumonia atGuildford, England on January 14 of 1898.
Alice Liddell was born on May 4th, 1852. She was the third child of Henry George Liddell and Lina Liddell. His father Henry George Liddell had become the Deanat Christ Church. Around this time Dodgson was a sub-librarian and the window of his room showed the view of the garden where Alice and her sisters played. Dodgson meets the family in February of1856 during a train trip. They were related because once Lewis had photographed Alice and her sisters around June 3rd. Alice’s mother had asked Lewis to stop taking photographs of her children and heunderstood perfectly.
