Officially the republic of Chile, is a country in South America, it border Peru to the north, Bolivia to the northeast, Argentina to the east.
It capital is Santiago, it president isSebastian Pireña, it population in May 2011 estimate 17,224,200.
It language is Spanish; it monetary united is Chilean peso.
In February 12 1818 was declared independence from Spain.


Fromnorth to south Chile extends 4270 km and yet it only averages 177 km east to the west.


The climate of Chile comprises a wide range of weather conditions across a large geographic scaleextending across 38 degrees in latitude.
There are four seasons in most of the country, summer (December to February), autumn (March to May), winter (June to august), and spring (September toNovember).

Recipes vary in different regionsof the country, for example in the northern regions the specialty is, plateada con quince, cazuela marina, ensalada chile and the drink are, cola de mono, mango sour, papaya sour.
In the central costare pastel de cholo, humitas, cazuela, empanadas.
In the south of chile, azado, cazuela and alcoholic beverages like chicha, licor de oro, murtado.
