Global recession and layoffs are popular these days. You will read or hear on the news that some multinationals are letting go employees.

Global unemploymentrate had increased not only in America but in Europe as well. Last year the unemployment rate was the highest in the modern times. 8.6 percent more than the previous year in Europe and 6.2 in theUnited States.
As of last year, the highest unemployment rates were in North African and the Middle East with 10.3% and 9.4% respectively.

In the UK many graduates are facing unemployment and had beenencouraged to seek employment in different countries and return when economy is better.
Many are returning to live at home with their parents and looking for further education fearing getting intomore debt.

Companies that used the recession to eliminate the worst-performing employees and restructure extremely bureaucratic processes will perform better than those who cut jobs left and right,they say.
