Viktor Frankl: Why to believe in others
This speech was made by Viktor E. Frankl a famous Professor of psychiatry and neurology of the University of Vienna Medical School in the year 1972. Frankl aHolocaust survivor served for three years in concentration camps where he faced highly unpleasant and cruel experiences.His experiences during World War 2 inspired him to deliver us with thispowerful message about the human search for meaning and the most important gift we can give others. This video is basically trying to demonstrate governments, mainstream media, public schools etc, that wenever know what children or adults are capable of doing or what level of potential they can reach. By simply believing in them we may help them be successful and achieve what seems to be only adream to others because “if we take man as he is, we making worst but if we take man as he should be we making capable becoming what he can be.”
This video relates to me in different ways because itreminds me of some past memories and even things that are going on today. One good example that I experienced in the past that relates to the message this video is trying to convey happened to me whenI was in Valley View Jr. High. I mention this because when I was in 7th grade for some reason the school would always place my twin brother in Marcelo in GT (gifted and talented) and I was placedwith regular students. The school would supposedly do this because according to them I would always distract other students and had inappropriate behavior. This would always make me want to get revengeon them and I would misbehave even more and distract all my classmates because the only thing I wanted was to be in GT (gifted and talented) classes with my brother. The Principal of Valley View Jr.High Mrs.Perez never decided to change me to GT classes because she believed I was not capable of doing the things GT students would do.
