ESSAY 1 – Are men and women different?
Throughout history the women have fought for acquiring power and respect. But it still exist a difference? The problems between men andwomen often have a common core: exclusion and power combined with difference.
Nowadays, women are still discriminated against in terms of wages and public responsibilities.In many companies a woman who has the same job that a man, does not earn the same. Less and less, women are acquiring better powers. Judicial powers like being the head ofgovernment, executive powers like directing a company. Today the women have the right to vote, and we have to recognize that it was so hard to earn it. Furthermore, it exist asocial problem called misogyny. Some people look down on women and consider women morally, physically and intellectually inferior. This fact is connected with sexism and malechauvinism. That thought shouldn’t be permitted because it creates bad behavior and violence.
Therefore, there are many other differences between men and women more accurate forexample: intelligence, opinions, genders, appearances and personalities. There are some topics associated with men and some others associated with women. Such as that men areused to do more sport than women or that women prefer shopping than men. In my opinion, I disagree with this idea because it generalizes a lot, for example, a man could loveshopping.
In conclusion, being a man is distinct in the fact of working and having a respect but not in the fact of likes, wishes or fancies. In my opinion, men and women have alot of similarities and differences. But these facts make us diversified and sometimes compatible to find the best things in a person, it does not have to be a man or a woman.
