She chose to walk alone

Eyes cast upward
Towards the sky
She didn’t have companions
No needfor earthly things
She only wanted freedom
From what she felt
Were pupet strings
She longed to be a bird
That she might fly away
She pitied every
Blade of grassFor planted they would stay
She longed to be a flame
The brightly
Danced alone
Felt jealous of the steam
That made the air
Its only home
Some say she wished tohard
Some say she wished to long
But we awoke one autom day
To find that she had gone
Then tres, they say, stood witness
The sky refused to tell
But someone whohad seen it
Sayed the story playes out well
She spread her arms out wide
Breathed in the breake of dawn
She’d just let go of all she held

Eligiócaminar sola
Aunque otros le preguntaban por qué
Rechazó mirar hacia atrás
Sus ojos los mantuvo en alto
Hacia el cielo.
No tenía compañeros
Ninguna necesidadde cosas terrenales.
Solamente deseaba libertad
De lo que sentía eran pasos de marioneta.
Deseó ser un pájaro.
Que pudiera volar lejos.
Deseó ser una llama,que bailara brillantemente sola.
Sentía celos del vapor
que hace del aire su único hogar
Algunos dicen que ella deseaba algo difícil
Dicen que ella deseaba algolejano
Pero despertamos un día del otoño
Para descubrir que se fue
Los árboles, dijeron ser testigos
El cielo rechazo hablar
Pero alguien que si la había vistodijo que la historia fue bien jugada
Ella separó los brazos de par en par.
Respiro en la apertura del amanecer.
Dejo caer todo lo que sostuvo…
Y entonces se fue...
