During the reading of this article i can identify the strategy that followed CEMEX to become a Global Player. This company now turned into the largest Mexican cement company in USA and great presence worldwide face to a without number of discussions on its speed of growth as well as the strategy to follow for the scope that could have. The characteristics of the cement industry has one bigadvantage over the acquisition of raw material which exists in abundance in most countries. This indicates that the best way of producing cement is put into the country or strategic area in which it has been decided to invest, this coupled with the high and significant costs representing the transport industry give a clear direction to follow for expansion.

These advantages and disadvantages are forthe whole industry, but as a whole, which does not directly target Cemex.
