Broken Hope
This type of art that I used is called cubism. Cubism usually has square shapes or lines that go through the painting to make it look cut up or out of order. There are two kinds ofcubism there is synthetic cubism and analytic cubism. There were many artists that were important in the art of cubism. The famous painters are Pablo Picasso, Juan Gris, and Georges Braque and they had alot to do with the cubism movement. They used cubism to express what they felt. I used cubism to show how the Nazis crushed the Jewish people and shattered their lives and their hopes.
Cubism is avery wonderful type of art and it was a 20th century avant-garde art movement, which was kind of founded by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, and it revolutionized European painting and sculpture, andinspired related movements in music, literature and architecture. Cubism was able to show feeling and expression like confusion and chaos but it also shows like if it is a big impact. Picasso made manyart pieces using cubism as a way of art. It was something that was just very new and amazing.
Many famous artists were involved in cubism and helped spreading it out. These are very famous and wellknown painters Pablo Picasso, Juan Gris and Georges Braque. One of Picasso’s most famous cubists painting is the Guernica which was made during the Spanish civil war. Juan Gris made the portrait ofPicasso in a cubist form in 1912. Georges Braque made the famous Violin and Candlestick. Picasso and Braque were kind of the ones who made cubism and are very famous for that. They have all done a veryfamous piece using cubism.
I tried to show what the Nazi did to Jewish people in the holocaust and how they broke their hopes and spirits along with their lives. They destroyed their lives and mademany people suffer. I used to sword to show that and I made one of them break. One sword had the Star of David and the other had the swastika sign. The Nazi sword had flag and was bigger to show...
