LA REVOLUCIÓN MEXICANA (1910-1920)
El 20 de noviembre de 1910 inició la Revolución Mexicana.
Sino por un dictador: Porfirio Díaz.
Durante los más de 30 años que el General Díaz se mantuvo en el poder, el rico era más rico, viviendo enpalacetes al estilo europeo, y los pobres eran más pobres, intentando al menos “sobrevivir
Este era el ambiente que se vivía en el país a principios de 1900 y un nombre comenzó a sonar en la vida política de México: Francisco I. Madero quien, fundó el Club Democrático Benito Juárez y posteriormente creó una red de intercomunicación entre los círculos opositores al régimen porfirista. Para 1908 publicósu obra: “La sucesión presidencial en 1910” en donde plasmó un estudio de la dictadura militar y planteó la necesidad de crear un partido independiente que lograra la efectividad del sufragio y el triunfo del principio anti reeleccionista, con el cual se combatiría la dictadura de Porfirio Díaz.
Pero poco antes de las elecciones de 1910, Madero fue encarcelado en Monterrey y posteriormentetrasladado a San Luis Potosí, siendo acusado de haber pronunciado un discurso en el que injuriaba al Presidente. Con Madero fuera del escenario, Porfirio Díaz – a través de un fraude electoral – es reelecto presidente de México y hasta ese momento, Madero es puesto en libertad a condición de que abandonara la ciudad. Decide ir hacia San Antonio, Texas, cruzando por Laredo, y ahí lanza el manifiesto...
