How does literature complement experience in the development of a person’s character traits and values?

For over two thousand years, children and adults have learned and shared fables in the hopesof teaching basic morals and creating a better society. What morals do these ancient fables teach and why do they continue to be important? Fables are important because they teach valuable lessonsabout life, explained in a humorous yet interesting way, also because they teach people specifically children the difference between right and wrong.
In a fable personification is a key element.Personification means giving human traits directly to a non-living object. This element is used because it is easier for kids to relate to the object or to an idea that is being personified with images andanimal characteristic rather to a real situation. Learning is a gradual process, and this is one of the best ways to be sure kids will understand the meaning of values and morals.

Teaching moralsand values are important; values are the desirable principles in someone’s character that society considers worthwhile. Friendliness and courage are values. Morals work with the judgment of values asthey emerge in actions. Kids need to learn values so they can create their own strong moral fiber. Morals are timeless, this are key terms in life, the values you learn as a kid the one you take toyour whole life.

Another thing kids must learn in school are vice and virtue. Why? Well vice is a practice or a habit considered immoral, depraved. This is important to know because vice is not athing kids need to grow with, instead they need to live with virtue that is a trait or quality deemed to be morally excellent and thus is valued as a foundation of principle and good moral being. Teachingkids is not an easy thing because teachers are building the bases of their life. What to teach?
